La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly opened talks with winger Ousmane Dembele over a new contract.
The Frenchman, who is yet to feature for the Blaugrana this season due to an injury, sees his current deal expire in the summer, allowing him to discuss a pre-contract agreement with other clubs in January, but the Camp Nou side are said to be keen to lock him down.
According to Goal, Dembele's agents have met with Barca president Joan Laporta to discuss a new deal for their client, with the Catalan club hoping to prevent him from talking to other clubs in January.
They are said to be keen to commit to the France international, with the aim of having a new contract agreed and settled by January.
The 24-year-old has made 118 appearances for the Blaugrana since his £120m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, netting 30 goals and providing 21 assists across all competitions.
