Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski hints in an interview that his future will be resolved "soon" ahead of a potential move to Barcelona this summer.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has hinted in an interview that his future will be resolved "soon" ahead of a potential move to Barcelona.

The 33-year-old previously suggested that he had played his last game for the Bavarians following their 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg on the final day of the Bundesliga season back on May 14.

Lewandowski's contract at the Allianz Arena runs until the summer of 2023, and despite Bayern's insistence that the Polish international would see out the final year of his deal, the striker remains keen to end his eight-year stay in Germany.

An agreement on a three-year deal with La Liga outfit Barcelona have been widely reported ahead of a potential transfer to Spain this summer, although doubts have been raised in recent weeks over the Catalan side's ability to afford such a deal.

Now when asked during an interview with Sky Deutschland about his future, Lewandowski has said: "The time will come to give information. Soon it will be possible to say more."

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also suggests that the three-year deal to take Lewandowski to Barcelona remains on the table.

Tweeting from his official Twitter account on Sunday, Romano said regarding the striker's future: "Barcelona are still working on it with his agent Pini Zahavi, three year deal already agreed... waiting for Bayern."

Since making the free transfer move from Borussia Dortmund to Bayern in 2014, Lewandowski has gone on to score 344 goals in 375 games across all competitions for the Bundesliga champions so far.
