Ruben Castro has committed his future to Real Betis despite the club's likely relegation from La Liga.
The Spaniard is regarded as one of the best forwards in La Liga, with a number of clubs reportedly preparing bids for the 32-year-old in the summer.
It had been speculated that Castro would depart if Betis were relegated, which seems probable with the club currently bottom of La Liga, 10 points from safety.
However, such talk has been quelled by the former Deportivo La Coruna attacker.
"Of course I'll play with Betis in the Segunda. I will stay at Betis, I'm staying here. Although my salary will be reduced, I intend to stay. We haven't done things as well as we should, but we have to take care of this club," he told Cadena SER.
Castro, who scored 18 league goals in the previous campaign, has netted seven times in 13 appearances this season.
