Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips believes that Robbie Fowler would be a welcome addition to the Championship side's squad.
Former Liverpool striker Fowler has been training with the Seasiders recently ahead of a return to English football.
Phillips has been pleased with Fowler's performances in training and believes that the 36-year-old will have a positive impact at Bloomfield Road.
"It's been great to see Robbie training with the club," Phillips told Blackpool's official website.
"I know him from our England days and he looked fit and sharp and ready to help us.
"He's one of the best strikers the country has produced in modern times and would be a great signing for the club."
Fowler has not played in England since leaving Blackburn Rovers in 2008.
