Fabrice Muamba has reportedly been sharing jokes with some of his Bolton Wanderers teammates this afternoon.
The 23-year-old is currently in the intensive care unit of the London Chest Hospital, having suffered a cardiac arrest during his side's away fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.
He remains in a critical condition, although there have been signs of improvement over the past 48 hours.
Sources have now told Sky Sports News that Muamba has been laughing and joking with the Bolton players that have been to visit him.
Captain Kevin Davies was among the squad members seen entering the medical facility at Bethnal Green, while Darren Pratley, Mark Davis and Nigel Reo-Coker also made an appearance.
