Borussia Dortmund have denied that Andre Schurrle could leave the Westfalenstadion for Inter Milan this month.
The Germany international has featured just four times in the Bundesliga this season and is believed to be seeking first-team football ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Wednesday that Inter were looking to offer Schurrle the opportunity of more minutes.
However, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc made it clear that the 27-year-old was not surplus to requirements at the club.
"An exit for Schurrle in sight? No," Zorc told Ruhr Nachrichten.
"With our coach Peter Stoger, we've established that we can reach our objectives with a reasonably healthy squad.
"We have 29 players under contract, and that involves a certain type of budget."
West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with Schurrle, once on the books of reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.
