Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe has admitted that he is keen to build on netting his first goal of the season.
Afobe had gone 12 games with a goal this season before netting against Burnley at the weekend, but the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man has suggested that he is confident of finding the back of the net again over the Christmas period.
The 23-year-old is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "I'm a goalscorer and I've always been a goalscorer. The manager always says to me, 'think goals, think goals' and on Saturday I was thinking goals again.
"Before the weekend I'd not started this season but I've had some chances coming off the bench. As a centre-forward, if you're not getting chances, that's when things are going wrong. You can miss as many chances as you want but at least you're getting them.
"It's about confidence, you can be scoring loads of goals in training. But when it's 3pm on Saturday and the pressure is on – can you score then? That's what I've done and hopefully I can keep doing it."
Afobe could feature when Bournemouth host Leicester City on Tuesday night.
