Mano Menezes has been sacked as the manager of the Brazil national team.
The 50-year-old took charge of the side in July 2010 and guided them to two Superclasico titles, including Thursday's dramatic victory over Argentina on penalties.
However, he has now been relieved of his duties with a record of 20 wins, six draws and five defeats.
Brazil, who will host the 2014 World Cup, are expected to name a new coach in January.
