Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has been named August's Manager of the Month in the Championship.
Hughton guided the Seagulls to the top of the table with 13 points from a possible 15.
The former Newcastle United and Norwich City coach saw off competition from Steve Bruce, Mick McCarthy and Chris Ramsey to land the award.
"I think it speaks volumes for what the players have achieved after a good pre-season and we were fortunate that we didn't have any injuries in August," said Hughton.
"The players have been excellent and worked very hard in pre-season. We've changed a few things from last year where we've looked to play two up front which we felt would give us more opportunities to score goals and get the ball in that final third.
"Anybody in my position would recognise that although it's me picking up the award, it's because of the work that so many have done here. We've got excellent coaches and an excellent sport science and medical department."
Brighton are back in action after the international break when they host Hull City in the league on September 12.
