Sam Vokes's 89th-minute goal was enough to salvage a point for Brighton & Hove Albion in a 2-2 draw at home to Cardiff City.

The away side went ahead in the 57th minute as Joe Mason found the net after some neat footwork.

Brighton drew level with 20 minutes to play thanks to Ashley Barnes's flick past David Marshall.

However, Cardiff were back in front almost instantly when Peter Whittingham found the net in spectacular style.

Gus Poyet's side managed to earn themselves a point in the final minutes when Vokes was on hand to guide the ball home.
