Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed that loan signings Nathaniel Chalobah and Michael Keane are unlikely to make their debuts in Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.
Chalobah, 19, and 21-year-old Keane joined the Clarets in deadline-day loan moves until January from Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
The duo were on England Under-21 duty during the week and, with just one Premier League appearance between them, Dyche says that the pair must be eased into the fray.
"The two young lads have literally just come into the building, so we will maybe give them a little time and the weekend might be too early for them," he told reporters.
"I want them to get a feel for what we are about and how we operate. It's hard to do that when they just walk through the door.
"We diluted their training because of their involvement with the Under-21s and the fact Michael played the other night."
Chalobah spent last season on loan with Nottingham Forest, while Keane was farmed out to both Blackburn Rovers and Derby County.
