Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran has insisted that Chelsea do not hold any fears for them ahead of their Champions League semi-final tie.
Los Rojiblancos play host to the Blues in the first leg on Tuesday evening, which will be the first time that they have featured at this stage of the competition since 1974.
Juanfran believes that Atletico can get the better of Jose Mourinho's side, despite Chelsea having more experience of Champions League football.
"Nobody has fear of Mourinho and Chelsea," he told Sky Sports News. "These two matches are life and death and we will do everything to win.
"Our challenge is to play in the final in Lisbon and we have been preparing for this game against Chelsea since the day of the draw.
"Chelsea have the bigger name than us in Europe in the last few years, but now the situation is level and we are capable of beating Chelsea."
Atletico knocked La Liga rivals Barcelona out of the competition in the quarter-finals earlier this month.
