Chelsea captain John Terry has thanked the club's medical staff for helping him get fit for his side's Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid tonight.
The defender was expected to miss the match at Stamford Bridge after suffering an ankle injury during last week's goalless draw in Spain.
Terry, who made a surprise return to training on Tuesday, has now praised the club's physiotherapists for their part in his swift recovery.
"Things started turning on Thursday late," he told reporters. "It doesn't just happen - it's a lot of work from the medical side, people coming round my house late at night, as well as at the training ground. A lot of hard work from them as well."
Terry has scored two goals in 45 appearances for Chelsea so far this season.
