Ashley Cole available for Manchester City clash

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole recovers from a rib injury to return against Manchester City on Sunday.

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has been passed fit to return for Chelsea against Manchester City at the weekend.

The left-back has been out of action for the past three weeks after aggravating a rib injury during Chelsea's win over Norwich City.

The problem forced the 32-year-old to miss both of England's final two World Cup qualifiers, as well as Chelsea's games with Cardiff City and Schalke 04.

However, Cole is expected to return to the starting lineup as Chelsea look to maintain their advantage over Manuel Pellegrini's side in the Premier League table.
