Didier Drogba wants to stay at Chelsea beyond this season

Chelsea's Didier Drogba says that he wants to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.

Didier Drogba has said that he wants to achieve more success with the club and hinted that he could stay next season.

Drogba returned to Stamford Bridge last summer on a 12-month contract, and it has been suggested that he will retire at the end of the current campaign.

However, the Ivorian, who was awarded the Football Writers' Association Tribute Award, said that his second spell with the Blues could be extended.

He said: "When I left this club the first time I was saying I had done everything I wanted to do but I think now that I did not do everything. I think there is more to do.

"I love this club and would love to be part of this club for the future, with the new players."

The 36-year-old has scored six goals so far this season.
