Former Chelsea and Barcelona playmaker Eidur Gudjohnsen trains with Championship club Bolton Wanderers.

Former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen is training with Championship club Bolton Wanderers.

The 36-year-old is a former Trotter having left the club to join Chelsea in 2000 after scoring 27 goals in 77 appearances in two years with the Lancashire side.

He is currently a free agent after leaving Belgian side Club Brugge at the end of last season and is training with Bolton to maintain his fitness levels.

For his country, Iceland, Gudjohnsen scored 24 goals in 78 appearances. He announced his international retirement a year ago.
