N'Golo Kante has admitted to having no regrets about turning down a move to boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain in favour of a switch to Chelsea.
The 26-year-old was on the radar of some of Europe's biggest clubs after starring in Leicester City's shock Premier League title-winning campaign of 2015-16.
However, Kante turned down a move to PSG and instead linked up with Antonio Conte's Blues, who went on to become champions of England come the end of the season.
The France international stands by his decision, despite the Parisians adding the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to their ranks over the summer.
"Do I regret that I rejected PSG? No," Kante told French outlet Le10Sport.
"When I was in Leicester, I had opportunities, but my priority was to stay in the Premier League.
"When Chelsea contacted me, I spoke with the coach and the feeling was good between us."
Kante is expected to face a spell on the sidelines after injuring his thigh in France's 1-0 win over Bulgaria on Saturday.
