Chelsea defender David Luiz confirms that he will not be in the Blues' starting lineup against Reading tonight due to a knee injury.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has revealed that he will play no part in tonight's Premier League clash against Reading.

The Brazilian took to Twitter to confirm that he has suffered a knee injury but does not allude to a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Luiz tweeted: "Good morning #geezers! I'm a little bit sad today because I can't play tonight. I have pain on my knee! But ok!"

The Blues take on the newly-promoted side at Stamford Bridge following their 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
