Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi has tipped Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount to become "one of the best" players in the world.
Mount has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge this term, establishing himself as a regular in Frank Lampard's first team with six goals and five assists in 29 Premier League outings.
The 21-year-old has also featured in all of Chelsea's Champions League matches in 2019-20, and six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi admits that he has been impressed by the Englishman.
"Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best," Messi said when asked to assess Mount as part of a partnership with football card company Topps.
Mount spent last season playing under Lampard on loan at Derby County, where he scored 11 goals across all competitions.
