Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that he intends to hand Alvaro Morata his Chelsea debut in Tuesday afternoon's friendly meeting with Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old completed a club-record switch to the Blues from Real Madrid on Friday, before immediately jetting off to the Far East to link up with his new teammates.
Morata has only spent a day in the Chelsea camp but will play a part against German champions Bayern in Singapore, though Conte is reluctant to use the Spain international from the off.
"It is my plan to give him the possibility to play a part of the game, for sure," he told reporters. "Not from the start, he arrived only yesterday. But I want to give him an opportunity to play part of the game.
"He is a young player but he has a lot of experience. He played for two big teams, he played games in the Champions League. I think he can have a good impact in the Premier League. Morata is ready to have a good impact in Premier League."
Morata netted 20 times for Real Madrid in all competitions last season, boasting a better goals-per-game ratio in La Liga than any player other than Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
