Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that Eden Hazard remains the best player in England, despite his slow start to the season.
The Belgian international was named PFA Player of the Year following his contribution to the Blues' Premier League-winning 2014-15 season.
However, in the early stages of this campaign, the 24-year-old has struggled to hit top form, and his struggles deepened when he sent a penalty sky-rocketing to the stands in Chelsea's 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"He's still the best player in England, he's the best playing in this country," Mourinho said in today's press conference. "It's not a bad performance or penalty lost or not scoring goals for three weeks. He's the best, he'll be the best again, one of these days, he's man of the match."
Hazard is expected to play in Saturday's clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
