John Terry has scored for Chelsea in his first match since being sent off against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The England international, who has been heavily criticised for his actions in the Nou Camp, rose above Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill to convert a corner from teammate Juan Mata.
As the skipper went off to celebrate his goalscoring contribution, he held his hands up to the Chelsea supporters and appeared to apologise.
Terry admitted in the club's matchday programme that he had already said sorry to interim coach Roberto Di Matteo and the Chelsea squad for his lack of discipline during Tuesday's semi-final.
