Chelsea striker Fernando Torres believes that Hull City will provide a tough test when they meet in the Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has insisted that Hull City will provide a tough test when they meet in the Premier League later today.

The Blues get their campaign underway against the newly-promoted side at Stamford Bridge as manager Jose Mourinho starts his second spell in charge of the club.

"Always the first game of the season is a tricky game, all the teams want to give a good image of themselves and put in a performance, so it will probably be really good for the fans to watch," Torres told Chelsea's official website.

"Hull will want to win and be positive but they won't want to go crazy and be exposed and concede goals, so we will need to show character from the first minute, but we know the fans will be behind us with Jose Mourinho back and we can think positively."

Torres scored 23 goals in all competitions for Chelsea last season.
