A number of leading bookmakers react to Chelsea's 6-0 defeat to Manchester City by shortening the odds regarding the potential sacking of Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has emerged as the new favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked this season.

Sarri only arrived at Stamford Bridge in July, but the 60-year-old has successfully guided the club to the EFL Cup final and through to the latter stages of the FA Cup and Europa League.

However, Chelsea find themselves in sixth place in the Premier League standings having suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

That has led to a number of leading bookmakers altering the odds regarding Sarri's future, with the Italian now priced as low as evens to be the next man to be removed from the main position in the dugout.

Sarri has acknowledged that he is 'worried' about his future at the West Londoners, with Chelsea now having lost their last three away games in the Premier League having conceded 12 goals.
