Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Chelsea forward Timo Werner during next summer's transfer window.
The Germany international has been a regular for the Blues since arriving from RB Leipzig in July 2020, making 60 appearances in all competitions, contributing 14 goals and 16 assists in the process.
Werner's long-term future at Stamford Bridge is unclear, though, with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel seemingly preferring other options in the final third of the field.
The forward scored his first Premier League goal of the season against Southampton on Saturday, but he has found it difficult to show consistency since making the move to England.
A recent report claimed that Bayern and Dortmund were both keen on the 25-year-old, and according to TransferMarketWeb, there is also genuine interest from Atletico.
Werner could be made surplus to requirements at Chelsea if the club, as recently reported, sign another forward next summer to compete with Romelu Lukaku for a starting role.
