Chelsea are reportedly weighing up whether to make a double swoop for Everton duo Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana.

Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a double swoop to sign Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana from Everton.

Graham Potter's side have already strengthened their squad during the current transfer window, spending near to £150m on six signings.

The Blues signed Joao Felix on loan until the end of the season, while Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana have all joined on permanent deals.

Despite adding a number of players to their ranks, the Blues are still looking to bolster their squad before the transfer window shuts next week.

They have recently been linked with a move for Lyon defender Malo Gusto, and they are also said to be targeting two Everton players.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are considering a double swoop for Gordon and Onana, which would strengthen both their attacking and midfield options.

Chelsea had at least one offer rejected for Gordon last summer, but they could be set to reignite their interest in a player that has been linked with a move away in January.

The report claims that the West London club are preparing a bid that could see Gordon return to the Toffees on loan.

The Everton academy graduate, who is currently under contract until June 2025, has scored seven goals and provided eight assists in 78 appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, Onana has emerged as a potential target for Chelsea, who are keen to sign at least one midfielder in the January window.

They have reportedly had bids rejected for Benfica's Enzo Fernandez and Brighton & Hove Albion's Moises Caicedo, while they also made an enquiry about Tottenham Hotspur's Yves Bissouma.

Onana has a lengthy contract with the Toffees after joining the club from Lille last summer, with his current deal set to run until June 2027.

The Belgium international has started 16 of his 18 Premier League appearances this season, chipping in with one assist.

Everton, who sacked head coach Frank Lampard on Monday, reportedly need to raise funds to help with their Financial Fair Play issues, but they would be reluctant to offload Onana.

Similar to Gordon, Chelsea could look into the possibility of submitting a bid that would result in Onana heading back on loan to Everton for the remainder of the season.
