Chelsea are reportedly at the head of the queue for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.
The 22-year-old made his first-team debut for the Foxes during the 2015-16 campaign and has since become one of the club's most important players.
Chilwell played in all but two of Leicester's 38 Premier League matches last season, while he has six outings to his name this term despite struggling with injury in the latter stages of August.
Manchester United have recently been linked with a move for the England international as they look for a long-term left-back with Luke Shaw still struggling to convince.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are the frontrunners for the defender and could attempt to secure his services in the January transfer window.
Frank Lampard's side are currently banned from bringing in new players after breaching FIFA rules on signing youth players, but the Blues are hopeful that the suspension will be reduced on appeal.
Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri have both played at left-back for Chelsea in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign but neither has convinced.
