Chelsea have reportedly informed Borussia Dortmund that it will set them back £50m to sign striker Michy Batshuayi this summer.
The Belgium international has already played the last game of his half-season loan with the German outfit due to an ankle injury that could also rule him out of the World Cup.
Batshuayi impressed during his 14 outings at the Westfalenstadion, though, netting nine goals in all - five of those coming in his first three matches.
Dortmund are keen to make the loan deal permanent prior to next season, but the London Evening Standard suggests that they may be priced out of a move, as Chelsea want £17m more than they paid Marseille to land the 24-year-old in 2016.
The report indicates that BVB do have cash to spend, though, having offloaded Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a £56m deal at the turn of the year, and they will look to negotiate with Chelsea in the coming weeks.
