Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini downplays reports that he is to leave Goodison Park when the transfer window reopens.

Everton star Marouane Fellaini has reportedly said that he is in no hurry to leave the Merseyside club.

The Belgium international has been linked with a big-money move to Chelsea when the transfer window reopens in January, but the in-form midfielder insists that he is willing to hold out for a move to a big club.

"There is interest in me, but Everton are an ambitious club as well," The Sun quotes Fellaini as saying. "I don't think they'll let their best players go just like that.

"I want to play for one of the biggest clubs one day. But I am patient."

Fellaini, who joined Everton from Standard Liege for £15m in 2008, is under contract at Goodison Park until 2016.
