Newly-promoted Middlesbrough have reportedly earmarked Radamel Falcao as a potential signing this summer.
The 30-year-old has endured a couple of torrid seasons in the Premier League with Manchester United and Chelsea, scoring just five goals during his time in England's top flight.
He was expected to return to AS Monaco this summer after his loan at Stamford Bridge came to an end, but Bleacher Report claims that he could instead return to the Premier League for a third straight year.
Falcao has struggled to rediscover his best form since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in 2014, and Monaco are understood to be open to the idea of selling the Colombian.
However, the striker's wages could be a sticking point in negotiations, with Boro unlikely to be able to afford to pay at a similar level to the likes of Monaco, United and Chelsea.
