Nathan de Souza confirms Chelsea deal

Nathan de Souza confirms on his Instagram account that he is joining Chelsea.

Brazilian midfielder Nathan de Souza has confirmed that he has joined Chelsea.

The 19-year-old posted pictures of himself on his Instagram account signing a contract with the Blues, although the club have not formally announced the deal.

However, his transfer is subject to being granted a work permit, and it is rumoured that Nathan may need to go out on loan initially.

He told his Instagram followers: "A dream is coming true! First of all I want to thank God for always lighting my way, my dad who always believed in my talent and was a real warrior while helping me to reach my goals, my family and friends who always supported me.

"And I am also thankful to Club Atletico Paranaense, which was part of this journey and where I played for 6 years of my career. Thank you Chelsea for trusting in me, I will do my best to support my team on reaching new achievements. We are all blue."

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
