Paris Saint-Germain 'lining up Thibaut Courtois swoop'

A report claims that Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois is a target for Paris Saint-Germain, who are willing to make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in world football.

Paris Saint-Germain have joined Real Madrid in showing an interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, according to a report.

The Belgium international is understood to be a long-term target for Los Blancos, who are keen to strengthen between the sticks in the summer.

Chelsea are in negotiations with Courtois over a new long-term deal at Stamford Bridge, with his current contract due to expire at the end of next season.

Spanish outlet Diario AS claims that PSG could pounce on the uncertainty, though, as they are willing to make the former Atletico Madrid stopper the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world.

The report suggests that everything is in place to swoop for Courtois at the end of the season, though he would favour a return to the Spanish capital, where his two children currently live.
