Chelsea have announced that midfielder Marco van Ginkel has joined AC Milan on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old was initially keen on remaining at Stamford Bridge in a bid to play his way into Jose Mourinho's plans this season.
However, the Dutchman, who joined the Blues last summer, assessed his chances of playing regularly and decided that a switch to San Siro would benefit his career.
Van Ginkel becomes the second Chelsea player to join the Rossoneri in the space of a few days following Fernando Torres's two-year loan move.
