Cordoba sign Florin Andone

Newly-promoted La Liga side Cordoba sign Florin Andone from Villarreal.

Newly-promoted La Liga side Cordoba have signed Florin Andone from Villarreal.

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Segunda B3 side Atletico Baleares, revealed his delight after completing the move.

"I'm a new player at Cordoba CF for the next three seasons," he told reporters.

"This is a dream come true to be at such a great club and all I want to do is thank them for the opportunity they've given me, to be professional and keep growing as a footballer.

"I want to thank Villarreal CF and Atlético Baleares, who have shown such confidence in me and presented me with the opportunity to keep improving as a player, but most of all as a person. I'm really happy, thanks to everyone for their confidence in me."

As a youth, Andone was strongly linked with Real Madrid.
