Former Manchester United youngster Danny Rose has been handed a trial by Championship side Crystal Palace.
The 23-year-old captained United's second string before moving on to Oxford United in 2007.
He has now dropped down to the Blue Square Bet Premier Division with Welsh club Newport County.
In a struggling team, Rose has already found the net on ten occasions this season, a statistic which has grabbed the attention of Palace manager Dougie Freedman.
