Sunderland have reportedly made Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni one of their top targets.
Palace are believed to have held talks with Speroni over a new deal as he prepares to become a free agent next month.
However, the 35-year-old's contract situation is thought to have alerted the Black Cats, who are keen to bring in competition for Vito Mannone.
According to the Daily Mail, Gus Poyet's side have already expressed an interest in signing Speroni at some stage this summer.
Speroni was a regular for Palace throughout the season despite the arrival of Wayne Hennessey in the January transfer window.
