Goalkeeper Scott Carson has left Wigan Athletic to sign a two-year deal with Derby County.
Carson, who has four caps for England, has spent the past two seasons at the DW Stadium, but he has been allowed to leave the club for an undisclosed fee after their relegation to League One.
Derby boss Paul Clement told the club's official website: "Competition for places across the squad is important and Scott's arrival certainly brings that to the goalkeeping department.
"We have two good goalkeepers already in Lee Grant and Kelle Roos and bringing Scott in will certainly raise the battle for the place between the posts."
"Scott is an experienced goalkeeper who has played at the highest level for a number of years and we're looking forward to working with him."
Carson made 59 appearances during his time in the North-West.
