Joe Hart wants to focus on the positives of England's 1-1 draw with France.

Joe Hart has insisted that England need to focus on the positives after the 1-1 draw with France in their Group D opener.

The Three Lions were the underdogs going into the clash with Les Bleus, yet took the lead through Joleon Lescott before Samir Nasri levelled for the French just nine minutes later.

Goalkeeper Hart received some criticism for allowing his Manchester City teammate's equaliser to creep in at his near post, but the stopper would rather focus on the good points from the match.

"Samir's a clever player, we dropped off a little bit. It was a good goal and we have to concentrate on the good performance," said Hart.

"You can question the team all you want, but you'll always get belief, pride and quality.

"People forget that we're England and we're a good side. In that first 25 minutes they weren't ready for us."

England next face Sweden on Friday in Group D.
