Manchester United winger Ashley Young has admitted that he enjoyed his strike partnership with Andy Carroll.
The pair led the line for England in the 1-0 win in Norway last Saturday where Young scored the only goal of the game.
Main striker Wayne Rooney is suspended for the first two of the Three Lions' Euro 2012 matches, and Young believes that he and Carroll can fill the void left by United's top scorer.
"If that is the combination then I think there's quite a few positives that came out of the Norway game," said Young.
"If we work on it again this week then we do so, but Andy was brilliant in the game.
"The combination came from me and him for the goal, which was a good goal, and I was delighted with that."
England take on France, Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine in Group D of Euro 2012.
