Steven Gerrard has said that he is confident that England can achieve a positive result in their friendly against Denmark this week.
The Three Lions have not had an international fixture since suffering a defeat against Germany last November, and on Wednesday they will play the first of four games before this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
"It's been too long since we've played at Wembley," Gerrard told the England matchday programme. "It's good to get back with each other and play together again and hopefully get a positive result to get the fans happy.
"Because we are on the back of two defeats it's important we try and get back to winning ways. I'm sure the manager is going to use this game to still experiment, but he will also want to get the team into a good frame of mind going into the tournament.
"What is important is that we start trying to hit top form because before we know it the tournament is going to be here."
Gerrard has won 108 caps for England since making his debut in 2000.
