England U21 midfielder Jason Lowe has said that the Young Lions' exit from the U21 Euro 2013 has been a "bitter pill to swallow".
England were defeated 3-1 by Norway yesterday after an opening 1-0 loss to Italy, meaning that they have no chance of progressing to the knockout stage.
Lowe, 21, said that they will now have to "muster some pride" against hosts Israel in their final group game on Tuesday.
"It is a bitter pill to swallow at the moment, we just want to try and put this to bed," Lowe told Press Association Sport.
"We will have to get up, dust ourselves up and try to muster some pride against Israel.
"It is very disappointing. You obviously do all your preparation and hard work to get here so to go out in the manner we have is very frustrating."
Meanwhile, Lowe's Blackburn teammate Joshua King has said that the team spirit in his Norway side was the reason behind their victory.
