Everton have reportedly made contact with the mother of Adrien Rabiot to discuss a potential move for the Juventus midfielder when the January transfer window opens for business.
Rabiot joined Juve on a free transfer over the summer having run down his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
The France international has struggled to secure regular starts for the Old Lady this term, though, and his future in Turin is currently being called into question.
Arsenal have reportedly been told that they will not be able to sign the midfielder on loan in January, but according to footmercato, Everton have been in touch over a potential move.
The report claims that the Toffees - now managed by Carlo Ancelotti - have held talks with Rabiot's mother Veronique, who is believed to have a leading role in her son's transfer plans.
The Frenchman has made 12 appearances for Juve this season but has only started five Serie A matches since joining Maurizio Sarri's side.
