Fulham attacker Kerim Frei has admitted that he was "delighted" at being named man of the match in the club's 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Monday.

The 18-year-old impressed during the encounter, and was given special praise by Fulham skipper Danny Murphy in his post-match interview.

"I was delighted to hear that I was man of the match. My family were here to celebrate with me so I had a good evening," Frei told the club's official website.

"Danny Murphy came over with the champagne in the dressing room and told me that I'd got it so I was very happy."

Frei joined the club from Grasshopper in 2010.
