The Scottish Premier League have announced that a fresh transfer embargo has been imposed on Hearts due to new financial issues at the club.
The Edinburgh-based outfit have experienced a number of money woes at the and it has now been revealed that the club has failed to pay some bonuses and appearance fees.
The SPL released a statement, which said: "Heart of Midlothian is subject to an embargo on the Registration of Players until such time as the SPL Board is satisfied that the Remuneration Default no longer continues."
Hearts, who sit ninth in the league table, are also due to attend a disciplinary hearing for breaching the SPL's rules.
