Hull City boss Steve Bruce feels that the race for promotion to the Premier League is wide open despite Cardiff City securing their place in the top flight.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce feels that the race for promotion to the Premier League is still wide open despite his side's 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Cardiff City earned their spot in the Premier League next season following their 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic, leaving the Tigers and Watford to battle it out for the second automatic promotion spot.

Bruce told reporters: "I don't think we were ever going to do it easy, it's still all to play for.

"Up until today we were third, I think, over the last 10 games in terms of form so we've managed to hang on in there when the tickly bit starts and it's certainly upon us now."

Hull are second in the Championship, six points clear of Watford in third, with three games to play this season.
