Gian Piero Gasperini "disappointed" with dismissal

Gian Piero Gasperini is "disappointed" to have been sacked by Inter Milan after just three matches.

Gian Piero Gasperini has expressed his disappointment at being sacked as Inter Milan coach.

The 53-year-old had only been in charge at the San Siro for three competitive matches, the latest of which was a 3-1 loss to newly-promoted Novara last night.

"In the end, the results are the ones that determine everything," Gasperini told the club's official website.

"I am very disappointed. It's a pity that our relationship had to be interrupted."

Gasperini has previously managed Genoa and the Juventus youth team.
