Goals from Emmanuel Eboue and Wilfried Bony saw Ivory Coast confirm their status as group leaders at the Africa Cup of Nations with a victory over Angola this evening.
The Elephants dominated the encounter throughout and eventually broke the deadlock with 31 minutes played. Bony was the creator, drilling in a cross for former Arsenal defender Eboue to convert at the back-post from close range.
Bony turned goalscorer after the break, capitalising on a mix-up between Massunguna and his goalkeeper Wilson to poke the ball into an unguarded net.
Ivory Coast, who are favourites to win the tournament, will face co-hosts Equatorial Guinea in the quarter-finals.
Angola have been knocked out of the competition as a result of this defeat.
