A group of Leeds United fans planning to buy the club have urged actor Russell Crowe to invest in the takeover bid.
The Australian explored the option of buying Leeds earlier this year but decided against it and lent his support to Leeds Fans United in August.
"Russell had said that he would like to do this as a project if he could but he was not prepared to leave his family for that length of time and I don't think that has necessarily changed," LFU chief executive Dylan Thwaites told reporters.
"But the idea of a high net-worth Leeds fan... he absolutely falls into the category and we would value that investment from him."
The supporters group were told last week by current owner Massimo Cellino that they could purchase the club.
