Leicester City's unbeaten run comes to an end against Stoke City

Leicester City's three-game unbeaten streak in the league comes to an end as they lose against Stoke City.

Leicester City's three-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League has come to an end after they lost 1-0 against Stoke City this afternoon thanks to Bojan's second-half goal.

Stoke made a positive start to the match, with Mark Hughes's men doing well to keep possession of the ball early on.

There were few chances of note during the opening exchanges, however, as both sides looked to establish control in midfield.

The first real opportunity of the game fell to David Nugent, who looped a header just wide of Asmir Begovic's post following a Leicester corner.

A promising counter-attack from the home side saw the ball find its way to Jamie Vardy, whose cross was poor. It dropped to Jeffrey Schlupp, but his ambitious drive smacked Marc Wilson and deflected away.

Leicester then spurned a good couple of chances to put themselves in the lead. First, Schlupp squared the ball for Anthony Knockaert, but his effort was tame and straight at Begovic.

Moments later, Nugent bent a shot towards the back post, with the ball dropping just wide of the goal.

Stoke's Marko Arnautovic had a great opportunity to put Stoke in front after the restart but smashed the ball against the side-netting instead of trying to find a teammate in the box.

Marcin Wasilewski was then lucky not to be sent off as the defender, already on a yellow, clattered into Begovic. The referee saw it differently, however, and waved away the protests of the Stoke players.

Bojan eventually put the away side in front when he swivelled and stroked the ball low into the corner with his left foot.

New signing Andrej Kramaric came on to make his debut for Leicester, but his first effort in a royal blue shirt was tame and straight at Begovic.

His side couldn't find a winner, allowing Stoke to close out the game and seal the three points.
