Kasper Schmeichel has claimed that he was the subject of interest from several clubs this summer, but Leicester City were unwilling to let him leave.
The Danish goalkeeper is entering the final year of his Foxes contract and reports had suggested that they would cash in on the 26-year-old this summer.
Hull City were rumoured to be among his admirers, but Schmeichel has revealed that Leicester rebuffed any offers for him as they felt he was an indispensable member of their squad.
"There were some clubs who wanted to get me," the 26-year-old told BT Sport .
"But Leicester told me that it didn't matter how good the offer was, because I was not for sale. That the club is willing to let my contract expire is a big compliment."
Schmeichel has made 108 appearances for the King Power Stadium outfit since joining from Notts County in 2011.
